Question about CT scan results

Dh has just had a ct scan after being referred though the hospital ( so not one through A+E or such like).

In typical DH style.. he didn't ask when he might expect any results through.

Now I like to know when to panic ..

So anyone who's had a CT scan.. how long did it take to get your results?

Usually about 2 weeks - does he have another appointment with the consultant, or was it arranged through the GP ?

it was through the consultant.. but he doesn't have another appointment through yet. sent for pre CT assesment last week.. got CT appoint by last friday... had it this morning.. so things are moving quite fast.. which is a bit worrying tbh.

Depends if NHS or private I suppose. My (very limited) basic private healthcare paid for scan (although not for consultation) so I saw the Consultant on the Wed pm and had scan less than 24 hrs later on the Thurs. Consultant said normally about 2 weeks wait for scan on NHS. She rang me with the results on the Monday (although the radiographer said the results are ready the next day). Guess if there was anything they would ring?

Mine was about two weeks IIRC. Results given to me at consultant appointment. I think they do move fairly quickly with these things, they get through a lot - I had mine on a Saturday.
But if you want more info. ring the department he was referred from and ask when he is likely to get his follow up appointment.
