Has anyone paid privately to have the swine flu swab?

DD has been ill since Sunday, me since Monday and DH since Tuesday.

We've all had streaming noses, coughs, DH and I have muscle and joint aches and pains, shivers, DD has been sick twice.

DD had a high temp (39ish for a few days) DH has a temp of 39 today.

I haven't had a sustained temp but have had a couple of 38plus readings.

Am 10 weeks pg and asthmatic, haven't had the swine flu jab. Am wondering if it's worth paying for the private swab test to find out for sure if that's what we've got.

Would put my mind at rest about DD or I having the jab - I was planning to test for Celvapan in 2nd trimester.

Private swabs are £135 though! But maybe worth it if it means I know for sure I don't need the jab.

Has anyone had one of these done?

I did one with medichecks. They come up if you google. Mine tested negative and I think ohyoubadbadkitten had one done [or was it whomovedmychocolate I can't remember] and it came up positive. Worth having done before jab IMO.
