Has anyone tried the cure for hayfever which is to eat honey made from local bees?

My grandad keeps bees and i eat vats of the stuff and can truthfully say have never been bothered by hayfever whilst at home but once or twice while on holiday!!

I have heard of this and would love to try it for ds who gets hayfever, but not much local honey in North West London!

Just noticed this thread, i bought some recently at our local farm..have many friends who swear by it (as well as the vaseline up the nostrils!!)

My friends mum does this and apparantly it works for her. Must give it a go

So far I have to report that it tastes amazing - I have binned the supermarket honey!

Sis, which NW are you? There's a beekeeper in NW5 (Lady Margaret Road, I think).
I'm still sneezing though.
Does anyone know, how much should you consume to make a difference?

sis · 26/06/2005 19:37

Bakedpotato, may I CAT you for details?

bakedpotato · 26/06/2005 20:13

Sis, to save you time, I've just checked my jar.
John Hauxwell, 2 Lady Somerset Road, NW5.
Very sticky fingers now -- my keyboard is wrecked
