So I've just been put on the waiting list for this operation which sounds quite small and routine but I'm SUCH a baby I'm just wondering if anyone else has had it done and can tell me it's a walk in the park..?!

welcome mrsflittersnoop just opff on school run but will post properly when i get home

tjacksonpfc · 25/02/2010 09:24

ok back now got som time to answer properly. In answer to your question mrsfiltersnoop. I had one steroid injection and by the time the anesthetic that they use had worn off so had the injection.

I went back to see the specalist 2 weeks later who tried a differnt injection. That had the same affect as the first one.

That was when they refered me to the surgeon when i saw him with in 5 mins of looking at the xray and scans that i had i was up having my pre-op done. Now im just counting down to the 19th at 12:30 when i go in for the op

We could start a support thread on MN for people with this problem as we seem to be getting more people joining.

Welcome to the thread mrsfiltersnoop hope you injection continues to work for you.

Hope your physio goes well Dotty let me no what they do to you so i can be prepared lol.

Dorry / tjacks How are you now? I was lurking on this thread earlier. Just had my MRI results and a steroid injection today. I get two months to see how it works then back to see the surgeon

tjacksonpfc · 31/03/2010 12:45

hi mspotatochip. hope the injection works for you.

Im not doing to bad now was very ill after op and ended up back in hospital had bad reaction to the GA.

started physio now on shoulder its still tender and achening but got told to expect this for a while afterwards.

As for the op itself it was personally the most painful thing i have ever been through so just hoping it works now lol.

Havent seen dotty for a while on here so dont no how shes getting on now.

mspotatochip · 31/03/2010 14:59

Its tender where they injected but the burning pain has gone. Fingers crossed it lasts as I don't like the sound of the op. Good luck with the physio!
