hello ladies, I got my period about 3 months after giving birth to my daughter 7 months ago. This is now my 4th period and they are horrible. I get terrible pms for about 3-5 days where I feel like I'm going mad, very anxious, depressed and in a total fog!!Does anyone else get these symptoms??

I am thinking of going on the iud by merina to help stop my period in hopes this will help. Any suggestions or tips???

Light mask by Rio. I too suffer from terrible PMS just like you describe and have tried EPO and starflower oil etc, which helps a bit, but the mask! The mask is the one. I haven't had PMS for months despite having horribly heavy periods and the most beneficial thing has been that it has stopped me getting really tender breasts premenstrually.

It's about £40 but I reckon over the lifetime of the product it will work out cheaper than the oil capsules.

Going on the pill helped me for a couple of years, but gradually the PMS came back....

Frankly, I think PMS is one of those things like slugs that you can never completely conquer, it's an ongoing war of attrition. In other words, there is no simple answer, you have to take a "multi-pronged" approach.

Another thing that helped me was the herb agnus castus (you have to take it for a couple of months to see the effects).

Looking after yourself; eating well; trying not to self-medicate with booze...

I'm pregnant, so have not had PMS for 7 months!! But, tell me, are you saying that it comes back worse when your periods start again? (cowers miserably)

I did some reading up on here about the mirena coil and it does sound 50/50 as to wether it works. Alot of people have said it got worse not better! so I personally couldn't take the chance. Never heard of this light mask though sounds intriguing. Any one else tried it?
