Did you or your child have fever after swine flu jab?

If so for how long and how high? Both dd and myself had up to 39.5 degrees. According to GP this cannot be of the vaccine and hence must mean we have swine flu. But fever has disappeared after 1.5 days and we are fine otherwise. nevertheless, told to keep taking tamiflu but GP does not know whether this undermines the swine flu jab. Has anybody else been in this situation? What did you do?

DC were on the trial which meant that I had to take their temps every evening, and they did go up, only by a couple of degrees, and I certainly wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't been testing. iirc they went up after 2 days and dropped again after another 2 or 3. No other side effects

tamiflu doesn't interfere with vaccine.

Your GP sounds a little, um, lacking!

dd went up to 38C and felt a bit under the weather for about half a day and that was it.

my step dad had flu like symptons for 48 hrs after his including a high temp so i think it is normal.

Thanks all for messages. Yes, agree my GP is not up to scratch. Often feel we get the GPs who are not good enough to practice on the mainland (no supervision here, no NHS, tiny island)
