DH & I both sick with SF since the weekend. On tamiflu. MIL here lookin after DD, 8 months, so we keeping contact to a minimum but terrified she'll get it too. Doc said if she gets any symptoms bring her in immediately. Anyone else's baby had it? Anyone else have a baby in a house full of SF & baby escaped it?

My DH is just getting over SF now - has had it since last Thursday. He started Tamiflu on Sat as we have an 8 month old - however, as he didn't know he had it until Saturday, no surprises that DD seems to have picked it up. Symptoms so far have been really similar to a mild flu for both of them.

So far DD symptoms have been: high fever for 2 days then mild fever since Monday, a few runny nappies (3 in one day), some vomiting, generally miserable and grizzly, not eating(but still having her milk), very tired but waking every couple of hours at night.

Tbh it's not been as bad as I thought it would be but everyone is different. Rang GP but he pretty much said just to keep an eye on her as she seemed to be over the worse of it.

I think I'm now coming down with it but having had a really bad dose of seasonal flu at Christmas when I was 6 months pregnant, this is a walk in the park by comparison.

thanks, hen, that's reassuring. So far DD still ok. I'm on the mend now too. My aunt also researched this for me and found that if babies get it, they don't get it too badly. Phew!
