Swine flu & hives?

We've all had swine flu in this household. Started with DS on Friday. Feeling all rotten, but apart from DD we're all without a fever. The four of us all still have the horrible cough. None of us are taking Tamiflu, but have got it in the house.

DS (3.5) woke up this morning absolutely covered in a rash. Looks exactly like hives. He's been scratching it and it spreads around that area. Also heat makes it worse. I'm wondering if it's anything to do with the swine flu... Or is it just a coincidence?

I think theres another thread with someone with a similar question. I don't know about hives but some children do seem to get viral rashes pretty easily. Might be worth giving your gp a call.

DD was offered Tamiflu which we didnt take but she ended up with - quite severe - hives, had anti histimines but they didnt really help. Lasted about a week after the virus, ever changing each day, very itchy and swollen. Best of luck.
