Nightmare periods - please help

Hi all
Just would like to request some advice please about my periods. Over the last two years, when I get my period I am almost sick and I get horrendous diorrhea, so bad that it burns. I have to take anti-diorrhea tablets coming up to and during my cycle.
I get really dizzy and my body feels very dry and hot. I have an under active thyroid and am taking thyroxine. Also for one day at the start I practically fall asleep standing up, I'm so tired.
I feel wretched, forgetful, no concentration and I go completely to pieces with anxiety. Only during my period, though.
I used to get PMT, but that's OK now.
The terrible tummy situation makes me think of hormones, as they can irritate the stomach. I went on pill and it helped for 3 months, but now its as bad as ever.
If I had the chance, I'd gladly have a hysterectomy.
I'd be grateful for any help.
Loreley

Go to the gp, and insist on a gynae referral

I had some symptoms and had to have polyps removed

not sure you are on the right dose of thyroxine if nothing else is causing this. your TSH may be 'in range' but thats not going to make you feel better really.

i foun my periods improved remarkebly when i switched to a natural thyroid product, but you would have a hard time getting that from your GP.

your thyroid problem is probably not helping.
