Good cold remedies

I am on day 3 of my cold and it is driving me insane!

Does anyone have any good cold remedies or tricks that they use?

Avoid Dairy - it makes you more mucas-y (sp?)
A good tip I got on here was to put olbas oil on a damp flannel over a radiator so room is infused.
Other than that, paracetamol and a blanket.
