GOUT issues can you help?

My partner has, and is, suffering with gout he gets it in his foot and it is sooooo very painful!!!

He has been to the doctor, gave prescription drugs but these have side affects which make him very tired.
He has tried cranberry vitamin also celery vitamin.
He does'nt drink as much beer as he used too.

Just wanted to know if anyone has any experiences they could share either of themselves or someone they know. Thankyou

When my DH had gout, he ate lots of Cherries which helped (google Gout + Cherries, lots on the Internet). He had slightly raised Chloesterol at the same time, so just really watched his diet too.

what has he been given....allopurinol or colchicine....

stay away from rich foods and alcohol especially whilst it is flared up
