Embarassing bladder control issues in late pregnancy, not sure what to do

I've had bladder issues for a while, normally not too bad. I saw my GP who gave me some tablets to take, but not long afterward I found out I was pregnant, so I didn't take them. The problem is getting worse though, mostly at night.

Our bedroom is an attic conversion, and the bathroom is on the ground floor. I wake up in the middle of the night desperate for the loo, and I only just make it. I try not to drink much in the evenings but I still wake up bursting, and if ds wakes in the night I have to go then too before I really deal with him, not very fair on him but I have no choice.

I'm only a few months in though, and with ds, by the end I was on the loo every ten minutes as he was a lead weight on my bladder, plus I had bad SPD and walking or getting out of bed took ages. So towards the end of this pregnancy I fully expect to be in a bit of trouble and the layout of this house really doesn't help.

So it seems I have three choices, sleep on the sofa downstairs for the last few months of pregnancy, or have some kind of a bedpan by the bed (my oh would be utterly disgusted) or move house. This is actually a serious consideration! And yes, I am doing pelvic floor exercises, but they don't seem to have any effect. Suggestions? I feel like I'm the only one to go through this this side of pregnancy.
