Does the tamiflu authorisation code expire?

I got one last night through online assessment, but I'm wondering whether I feel bad enough to take it.

If I keep the code in case this isn't SF or I catch it again and worse in the future - would they issue it to me with the code I have now or tell me I have already been prescribed it?

Ah, how spooky, we had friends here last night and we were talking about this... their daughter is just getting over the SF and has been taking Tamiflu. The code is issued and you need to get the prescription within 7 days or otherwise you will not be able to get it on that code, not sure what would happen if you tried to get another code though.

7 days, okay No rush for it then. I'm not sure if it is SF, started off feeling like I was getting a chest infection which turned into a hot throat and scratchyness the next day, and this morning seems to be like bad tonsilitis - throat is covered in blisters! Plus headache and just generally feeling weak.

I'll see how I go but I'm guessing if it is SW then it's too late to start treatment now anyway?

I remember reading that you have to go through your GP if you have already received Tamiflu but need it again.

Yes, I got a code for DD in September and turned out she just had a cold so didn't pick it up. Got a new code this morning as we definitely all have swine flu now.
