Shiney shiney, shiney boots of leather- crack the whip with the healthy eating thread...

BiteOfFun · 30/10/2009 19:33

...Come and be a Venus In Fake Furs (with a nod to any vegetarians, who may enjoy the odd Quorn fillet...)on our healthy eating thread, and watch yourself vanish before your very eyes, if that is your aim!

We are supporting each other to lose weight, or just eat well and get fit- but we do like a bit of a laugh along the way, so if you are interested in joining Shiney and the other regulars here and be in the gang, just drop in and post as much as you can- the thread moves fast!

All welcome- the only quiches round here are the contraband in my fridge

TrillianSlasher · 31/10/2009 17:37

I'm figuring if Vinny could tell us about teh accident then the macbook survived.

SqueezyCheesyPumpkin · 31/10/2009 17:41

Yes, I was going to say, how do you bend a macbook? Have dropped mine a few times but it's been fine so far.

TrillianSlasher · 31/10/2009 17:58

Macbook air = the super-thin super-light one, right? Maybe that makes it extra bendy

SpookyAlice · 31/10/2009 18:14

Evening all

How is everyone?

Going to a halloween party this evening and really can't be arsed as have been working all day and want to just slob. On the plus side, at least i don't have to worry about kids knocking on the door every 5mins

A 'friend' has just tagged a picture on FB of me from college when i was fat and drunk and looking like a right loon not impressed.

Oh, and i had to laugh today, someone i know is 4months pg, but says she is not really excited about it all. She's hoping she has the baby on time so she can go to an event a week later and reckons the baby will just pop out at home cos she's tough and 'ain't going in no flea pit of a hospital' hahahahahahahahaaaaahaaaaa hahahaaaaaa

TrillianSlasher · 31/10/2009 18:22

Saw your pic Alice - either you're standing on a chair or it was taken from a very funny angle. There are looooads of pics of me, this makes it more fair.

Enjoy your party!

SpookyAlice · 31/10/2009 18:34

It is BAAAAAAAD probably taken from a funny angle as i think she was drunk as well Was only 17 then. Admit it, you winced when you saw it?

I am still in pyjamas and have a towel round my hair, should go and get ready i suppose,

Have a good evening all

SazZaVoom · 31/10/2009 18:44

Evening - just logging to threads i'm on

I'm Sazz, have lost almost three stone, 1 to go. Long slog......

Had a good time away, but knackered. Have been crying today since coming home and DH has finally stepped up to the plate to look after the DD's . I'm hoping he will put them to bed and i am watching strictly with a curry and beer. I have chosen Shashlik so no creamy sauce. Best i can do in my state

Lovely pumpkins VT

Bet your pics are lovely BoF but sadly work ban any photo sites in case we are in danger of having any fun looking at nice pictures. Miserable buggers accountants

hellsbelles · 31/10/2009 18:47

Alice - party will be fun once you get there! They always are.

Dropped DS to his halloween party looking so very gorgeous as a little vampire. He takes the whole thing very seriously! I had to spend ages doing face paints and slicking his hair back and then he insisted on only drinking water through a straw so he didn't spoil the make-up Methinks I might have a tiny bit of a poser on my hands

Vinny - is the Mac fixable???

BiteOfFun · 31/10/2009 19:12

sits in corner and sobs.

TrillianSlasher · 31/10/2009 19:44

None of that here DEM please. If you want to talk about something we're here for you, but no 'I am sobbing, ask me why' like a silly attention-seeker. Just tell us.

car -terminal gear failure just been toed to garage
Ds threw temper over an ex[ploding balloon and getting the other one home in one pieve. Got it all the way walking back to train station, on the train, into car, car being toed, walking home from garage and into corner shop for tea and it exploded. cue another meltdown

Ds- major meltdown for 2hours whilst out as didnt want to come home and tired

ds didnt go to bed til midnight last night so i am tired before starting day.

At a sodding museum from 10:30am to 4pm and it was the same museum that we were in for 1hour 1/2 yesrterday.

Didnt get to fabric shop for missing dress bits.

Havent finished lesson prep and no energy to do tonight

Cant got on our trip out tomo as no car and no way to get to work (or the person i normally drive) on monday.

Good sob in corner warented tonight.

DEMlostandtired · 31/10/2009 19:52

Oh and it appears I magorly upset riven yesterday. Didnt intend to and she misunderstood the point of the original post. Dont think my reply will make it better though

TrillianSlasher · 31/10/2009 19:53

Oh, horrible, poor you.

Did the car explode or the balloon?

BrandNewIggi · 31/10/2009 19:55

DEM that is one build-up of a day. Only cry if it's the type that gets it out of your system and lets you move on though!
Very sorry to hear Lizzy's news. Please say how you're getting on.
Glad Jet has babysitting sorted for the special night out - was worrying about that on the bus today!
And hi to everyone else..

DEMlostandtired · 31/10/2009 20:03

No it was the differential between hot cold effect of air pressure... in english balloon went from cold to hot and exploded. Scared the living daylights out of the staff in the shop .

I have alcohol.

I wish the fucking car had exploded it is a bad car and has needed a lot of repair. could tell exactly what is wrong but unless you are knowledgable about the inner works of the car you would be both bored and confused. But I have no gears and it is jammed in first so have to have someone pressing clutch to select neutral so it can be pushed anywhere. It is now sat outside the back door of the garage so when my lovely miracle worker of a mechanic turns up for work tomorrow his face is going to be both - its currently blocking his work space and I know he is booked up this weekend.

Can i go to bed yet? Anyone care to borrow ds. He sleeps in (about 8:30am) and is avaible to help til about midnight....

Doesnt really sell it does it?
