...Come and be a Venus In Fake Furs (with a nod to any vegetarians, who may enjoy the odd Quorn fillet...)on our healthy eating thread, and watch yourself vanish before your very eyes, if that is your aim!

We are supporting each other to lose weight, or just eat well and get fit- but we do like a bit of a laugh along the way, so if you are interested in joining Shiney and the other regulars here and be in the gang, just drop in and post as much as you can- the thread moves fast!

All welcome- the only quiches round here are the contraband in my fridge

Just realised I sound stupid there. I don't really understand the system. What does a point actually get you in terms of tasty things?

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 04/11/2009 11:32

I think sexual cunning might involve using ones womenly wiles to make the victim gentleman feel that he is in control and getting what he wants when really you have been manipulative persuasive and they are actually fulfilling your every fantasy and desire....

I think

wastingaway · 04/11/2009 11:34

1 point is a square of chocolate.
Two slices of toast is 2.5 points, but doesn't include butter.
1 scoop of Ben and Jerry's is 3.5 points.
1 slice of pizza is 3 points.
A pot of Total 0% is 1 point.

I have loads of points, but because I don't plan ahead very well, I either end up running out by teatime, or leaving them all til the end of the day and getting too hungry.

Lizzylou · 04/11/2009 11:42

Mits

I was going to go for a run at 11am, then again at 11.30am, but have work to do. Will go at 1pm (phone doesn't normally ring then, and will still have time to have a shower before school run).

Have had a most delightful man shouting at me this morning. It is my fault he didn't get an interview, apparently, couldn't be that he is not as good as he thought he was, oh no! Or that he wanted a £20k payrise (in this marketplace!), though I didn't mention that to the firm in question anyway.

Sorry for ranting work stuff, he was just so bloody obnoxious

TrillianAstra · 04/11/2009 13:14

Good afternoon all.

Had my tasty lentils for lunch, been for a little walk to Boots and bought some raisins and also some G&B chocolate cos a small bar was 50p. Posh chocolate does get eaten much more slooooooowly than cheap chocolate though.

Are you on your run Lizzy?

Where is our leader?

SazZaVoom · 04/11/2009 13:37

Afternoon. just flying through as i have to go and stack logs in the rain as DH is too busy working being a tit

Swam 40 lengths this morning and netball training this eve. Grapefruit for brekker, salad for lunch & a packet of WW hula hoops and marinaded salmon & cous cous for dinner

VT - very of your nice smelling young man. I chatted to my 60+ year old bloke at the pool this morning, but not quite the same Phwooaarr factor

Lizzy - some people just seem to think they deserve everything handed to them on a plate. He's a twat

jetforkesandbonfires · 04/11/2009 15:32

hi all

sazz - at your 60yr old compared to Vinney hot young stuff

Mits - think you deserve to get pampered - so congrats on the haircut

Lizzy - must be eaiser for him to blame ou than admit he is a twit his own failings!

Hi to everyone - and apologies for last nights post - not sure what came over me, but i do really appreciate all your kind words

Took minijet down to the soft play area today - a 40 min walk (well, 55 if you count when we got a bit lost. And, i even climbed up with her to help her onto the slide as usually junior does all that and obv she was at school. I was worrying that the structure would collapse under my weight but it didnt - and i felt like a proper mam

TrillianAstra · 04/11/2009 15:38

Good climbing Jet!

BitOfFun · 04/11/2009 15:58

How was your lentil thing Trill? Are you trumping yet?

TrillianAstra · 04/11/2009 16:07

No, very little trumping here, which is good cos the office has been spookily quiet.

TrillianAstra · 04/11/2009 16:07

I've been told I am having sausage and mash for dinner (going to ex-housemates to be fed)

BitOfFun · 04/11/2009 16:11

Yum, one of my favourites...

Lizzylou · 04/11/2009 16:14

Yay for the soft play mountaineer Jet!

Didn't manage to run, was peeing it down so was going to do Davina DVD, then got a bit embroiled in MN work and poof! school run time.

Am now hoping Tesco delivery gets here early as have realised there is nothing easy to make for DS1 (DS2 at PIL's)......hmm, what's the betting???

Luurve sausage and mash too

Got my SW cottage cheese quiche thing tonight and have re-logged onto the Lord and confessed that have put on 7lbs of the 10 I lost

It will be gone soonish though, am all inspired again.

jetforkesandbonfires · 04/11/2009 16:23

god i luuuurve sausage and mash Have yet to find a delicious low fat version - it just isnt the same without the butter and cream in the mash, pork and apple sausage, and loads of onion gravy

enjoy it Trills

(and yes, where is shiney?? I hope she is ok)

bellavita · 04/11/2009 16:31

Hello everyone

Spag bol tonight. This is the third day of being ultra good and it is killing me.

I am not going anywhere after work when I finish tomorrow, so am going to attempt to do Shiney's dvd whilst no one else is in the house [blush

bellavita · 04/11/2009 17:07

...

Lizzylou · 04/11/2009 17:12

Sorry? Did someone say something????

Just make sure you draw the curtains, Bella!
I have made that mistake before, only to look out the window to see next door's gardeners laughing their socks off

bellavita · 04/11/2009 17:15

at Lizzy!

Am getting hungry now. DH not home till 6.15ish. Just eaten an apple.

BitOfFun · 04/11/2009 17:17

Spagbol sounds good- I might make that...

Shiney rang me earlier, she's been out shopping with her lovely mum and getting spoilt rotten by the sound of it

TrillianAstra · 04/11/2009 17:46

She'll think it's funny that we're worried she's been run over by a bus after only a few hours not posting!

bellavita · 04/11/2009 17:52

at shopping.

Lizzylou · 04/11/2009 17:54

OOOh, look at the new biscuit emoticon, for a "I have noting to say on this matter face"

Fab

Perhaps we should ask for a special rice cake or Ryvita one?

Lizzylou · 04/11/2009 17:55

Or a Quorn Fillet one?

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 04/11/2009 17:56

Hi Bella... I have one of DD's little friends here. fixed.

I am eating well but can't weigh as I am due on and it will be all over the place.
