...Come and be a Venus In Fake Furs (with a nod to any vegetarians, who may enjoy the odd Quorn fillet...)on our healthy eating thread, and watch yourself vanish before your very eyes, if that is your aim!

We are supporting each other to lose weight, or just eat well and get fit- but we do like a bit of a laugh along the way, so if you are interested in joining Shiney and the other regulars here and be in the gang, just drop in and post as much as you can- the thread moves fast!

All welcome- the only quiches round here are the contraband in my fridge

I am now in bed with brushed teeth which makes anything taste foul, so quite safe for the moment

jetforkesandbonfires · 03/11/2009 22:08

obv i meant the fist pic

bellavita · 03/11/2009 22:09

Very good trick that Alice.

hellsbelles · 03/11/2009 22:10

Hello bella

sparkly - sorry didn't see your FB but glad you are fine - and well done on avoiding B&J

Jet - I think SazZa may have solved your man search

jetforkesandbonfires · 03/11/2009 22:10

Night Alice, and thanks for your kind words, and to bella

SazZaVoom · 03/11/2009 22:10

LOL, i've gone off knights in shining armour as you can't see how handsome they are and one i found was riding side saddle. How manly is that? Not

Alice - teeth cleaning is great as is chewing gum for staving off that immediate snacking requirement

SparklyAlice · 03/11/2009 22:11

Is NOBODY going to ask me what i did to deserve sympathy?

jetforkesandbonfires · 03/11/2009 22:11

Iggi - not sure if you mean that about B&Js - but

bellavita · 03/11/2009 22:12

Hullo

I need to go to bed soon, have to be up at 6.00am tomorrow morning. Hair needs washing and I have to leave for work at 7.25.

bellavita · 03/11/2009 22:13

Alice, what did you do...?

jetforkesandbonfires · 03/11/2009 22:13

was just about to Alice

SazZaVoom · 03/11/2009 22:15

No need to justify requiring sympathy - we will give it out virtually free anyway

What did you do though? [nosy]

TrillianAstra · 03/11/2009 22:16

This one is pretty

TrillianAstra · 03/11/2009 22:17

Did you do some acrobatics with a stairgate?

hellsbelles · 03/11/2009 22:18

yes Trills - but he's dead

TrillianAstra · 03/11/2009 22:20

So? Pretty to look at. And not riding side-saddle.

SparklyAlice · 03/11/2009 22:21

Well, seeing as you asked.....

Last night, i got DD to bed early because i had some homework to do for college today. I cleared up the living room and took some of DD's dirty clothes to the laundry basket in the kitchen. However, being the lazy slattern that i am, instead on opening the stairgate and going down the two steps into the kitchen, i decided to lean in and throw. The stairgate hadn't been shut properly, so i went flying arse over tit taking the stairgate, a standing lamp and a broom with me. Ended up flat on my back, lying across the broom handle with the stairgate on top of me.
I now have a wrenched left knee, a purple left toe, a sorely left shoulder, a black bruise on my right knee, a stiff right wrist and the whole right cheek of my buttocks is so painful i cannot sit down properly.

See, sympathy required (no laughing!)

SazZaVoom · 03/11/2009 22:22

Yes, i think Jet wanted sex, sadly not sure he could oblige . He was pretty though, you are correct about that

bellavita · 03/11/2009 22:24

Aww Alice

Just watch that knee though - if it keeps on hurting and go to the docs. My cartilage tore and I don't even know how.

SazZaVoom · 03/11/2009 22:26

Ah ha, the lazy slattern stairgate arse attack injury. Sadly all too common these days

I think you need some arnica on the bruises and lots of sympathy

hellsbelles · 03/11/2009 22:26

oh sparkly - that is really horrid.

jetforkesandbonfires · 03/11/2009 22:26

ouch Alice Hope you feel better soon

And thanks Trills - he is very pretty to ogle look at

SparklyAlice · 03/11/2009 22:26

Ouch! That sounds painful!

The knee that was wrenched is the leg i broke that is held together with metal bits so i'm sure in this case it is only minor as i think it would hurt like hell if i did anything serious to it

SazZaVoom · 03/11/2009 22:31

Double ouch

I'm off to bed now as no doubt we will have bed swapping shenanigans again tonight

Sleep well all

hellsbelles · 03/11/2009 22:34

stupidly watching the news and it's making me

Off to bed with a good book to take my mind off it all.

Night all
