...Come and be a Venus In Fake Furs (with a nod to any vegetarians, who may enjoy the odd Quorn fillet...)on our healthy eating thread, and watch yourself vanish before your very eyes, if that is your aim!

We are supporting each other to lose weight, or just eat well and get fit- but we do like a bit of a laugh along the way, so if you are interested in joining Shiney and the other regulars here and be in the gang, just drop in and post as much as you can- the thread moves fast!

All welcome- the only quiches round here are the contraband in my fridge

Oh Iggi, hope your baby starts feeling better.

My boys were bloody feral tonight, esp the normally nice and calm DS1. Is it because he uses all his good behaviour at school? I dunno, but he is bouncing off the walls, then backchatting and being cheeky and lying!

In bed now though and have polished some lovey smoked bacon and butternut squash soup with cheese on toast.

Hope you all have good evenings, DH has come home ill and grumpy so am tending to him now.

hellsbelles · 03/11/2009 20:00

poor you iggi - hope baby is back to normal soon.

Shiney - i've been enjoying playing with my sleek new joggler! Just got to work out how to download stuff onto it! I've got an iphone so hopefully that'll all link in! Very nice indeed and it's working perfectly. So thank you. I got a great bargain.

SazZaVoom · 03/11/2009 20:06

I'm a size 12, i'm a size 12

Sorry for the self centred post

SazZa - wow!

SazZaVoom · 03/11/2009 20:18

Thanks Hells, i was a size 16/18 back in May when i started this and have NEVER in my adult life bought a size 12

I am very chuffed

TrillianAstra · 03/11/2009 20:19

Well done Saz!

Lentilly stuff is bubbling, as is risotto for dinner. Got DP a bottle of night nurse, and he is watching some WWII thing.

Tesco order arrived. With Quality St.

Poor Alice, why are you mentally incapable?

Lizzylou · 03/11/2009 20:35

Yay Sazz

Trills there must be Man Flu going round, DH is milking it for all it's worth poorly as well.

Just went to pick up a Tesco Direct delivery and got DH his "poorly man" chocolate bars and resisted temptation. Got to be worth a medal, that.

SazZaVoom · 03/11/2009 20:40

You lot are lovely with your medicines and chocs for poorly DH's. I send mine to bed with a whisky and that seems to sort it

Off for a cuppa as i am still quite hungry despite sausage and mash (small portion) and a yoghurt

BitOfFun · 03/11/2009 20:48

Hurrah for Sazz! Very good news

Lizzylou · 03/11/2009 20:51

Bugger I ballsed up my crossing out

Nah, Sazz, whisky is the one thing that turns my mild mannered DH into a ranty shouty bloke.
Snickers and some white choc is far safer.

Iggi999 · 03/11/2009 20:52

What's the secret of your success Sazz? Is it all down to this thread?!
DP is at me for talking about putting baby to bed - apparently at 2 he is almost ready to leave home and not supposed to be called a baby. Will be my baby at 30 I suppose. If I live that long

Iggi999 · 03/11/2009 20:53

Really overdid it on the emoticons there [nonelefttouse]

hellsbelles · 03/11/2009 20:54

Saz - that is really inspiring! What did you do?

SazZaVoom · 03/11/2009 20:55

Sends mine to sleep so i don't have to put up with the man flu whingeing

Thanks everyone for your and , but i wouldn't have done it without you lot i'm sure

SazZaVoom · 03/11/2009 20:58

Hells, i used Food Focus until about a month ago and exercise 4* per week (mainly swimming). In the last couple of weeks i have started running and that has helped to kick start things again

Unfortunately no magic, just less food and alcohol, more exercise

TrillianAstra · 03/11/2009 21:03

Wow, first time you've been 12 ever? That's so amazing!

I am going ot succumb to the lure of the chcolates soon. I'm considering making up the spare bed so I can sleep and not be shaken by the horrific coughing. Definitely not man flu over here.

jetforkesandbonfires · 03/11/2009 21:05

yay Sazz- I love it when i drop a dress size - though i still have a few to go

Had a major clear out of Juniors room today - found a lovely HSM 2 book - with all the song lyrics, dance moves etc, complete with CD of the songs. Did someone on here say their DD loved HSM?? WOuld someone like it, as apparantly, Junior is no longer a fan of HSM and is now into the insane ICarly

SazZaVoom · 03/11/2009 21:09

Yes Trill, i was grinning like a bloody cheshire cat when i paid for it. I have always been 14+ so weird new territory for me. I am terrified that i won't be able to maintain it tho . I am keeping going on the severe diet/exercise until Xmas and then try and maintain after that. Hoping to lose 12lbs by then which i think will be a comfortable 12 in most shops, top and bottom. Spare bed sounds like a plan IMO as you don;t want the bugs either

Jet - you WILL get there

jetforkesandbonfires · 03/11/2009 21:12

book tis here should anyone be interested. Tis is excellent condition, just no poster at the back (easily solved) and would love it to go to someone here who i know would appreciate it for what it is

jetforkesandbonfires · 03/11/2009 21:15

thanks Sazz - you know, i think i am actually starting to believe that i will this time I seem to be losing 8-10lbs each 4 weeks, and its a great motivator knowing that alternate weigh ins i should have gone down a whole number - ie. from 18st something to 17st something etc etc

I am really hoping to be 14 something for Xmas, so will need to get my arse into gear get exercising to increase loss.

Am so pleased for you hun - you have really inspired me

SazZaVoom · 03/11/2009 21:16
Smile
hellsbelles · 03/11/2009 21:17

Saz - I think as you have done it sensibly without crash diets you are much more likely to keep it going (I say that like I know what I"m talking about - but you know what I mean )

I love size 12 you can get so many lovely clothes. How perfect that it's in time for all the christmas parties and celebrations!

TrillianAstra · 03/11/2009 21:18

Yay, the thread is working!

SazZaVoom · 03/11/2009 21:19

LOL Trill - you are the maintaining guru so i will be hounding you for advice next

Hells - you sound like an expert
