Shiney shiney, shiney boots of leather- crack the whip with the healthy eating thread...

BiteOfFun · 30/10/2009 19:33

...Come and be a Venus In Fake Furs (with a nod to any vegetarians, who may enjoy the odd Quorn fillet...)on our healthy eating thread, and watch yourself vanish before your very eyes, if that is your aim!

We are supporting each other to lose weight, or just eat well and get fit- but we do like a bit of a laugh along the way, so if you are interested in joining Shiney and the other regulars here and be in the gang, just drop in and post as much as you can- the thread moves fast!

All welcome- the only quiches round here are the contraband in my fridge

Ah right, I forgot about the check. I was lucky because I had the whole of the 7 week hols for mine to come through - I think it actually took about 4 weeks.

SqueezyFawkingBonfire · 02/11/2009 19:17

Saz - yes it's one of your pics It's brill, it's a wee boy with a chunky pumpkin suit on, it's lovely

Hiya Alyson

Off to check the appeal.....

Lizzylou · 02/11/2009 19:18

Bella, ummm, someone who is doing a bit of a TWR, and has actually done something similar before, hasn't been on all year...you'll see
I have emailed scret santa, didn't want to cause a fuss on the thread when Trinity was getting nasty comments, people are all suspicious anyway of trolling.

hellsbelles · 02/11/2009 19:19

Saz - meant to say - well done - that is brilliant!

And Alyson - welcome

bellavita · 02/11/2009 19:20

Oh, I think I have just seen what you mean.... but what is this about Trinity, was someone being mean to her?

Lizzylou · 02/11/2009 19:22

Yep Bella, she had 2 posters having a bit of a bitch at how much stuff she is getting

SqueezyFawkingBonfire · 02/11/2009 19:23

Yes Lizzy.

I just waxed my legs and erm.....well.....you know.....ouch, ouch, ouch. Belisha Beacon doesn't even come close......what's that song by Johnny Cash......burn, burn, burn

SazZaVoom · 02/11/2009 19:40

Squeezy - just checked and pic is a friends DC. I was too lazy busy to dress mine up this year

hellsbelles · 02/11/2009 20:08

lizzy - can't find it but probably better if I don't anyway!

Did anyone know the answer to my question about Jaq's DCs - ages and gender? Just doing some sorting and need to know if any of the stuff will be right for them.

I am soooo tired after my exercise today! Felt envigorated for ages but now collapsed in a heap watching shite TV - bliss!

Am thinking of setting my alarm early (about 6ish) and doing the workout then. Good intentions but not sure it'll actually happen. But have figured that I'd rather exercise and still be able to eat decent amounts than just diet.

bellavita · 02/11/2009 20:09

Ooh well done SazZ

Ouch Squeezy I am too much of a wuss to do it myself I normally get someone else to do it. Have to do the breathing and panting thing though to work my way through the pain . I have done it myself, but on occasions I have got the blardy strip stuck half way and ended up bruised.

SazZaVoom · 02/11/2009 20:30

I wax my own legs but had a bit of a bad side effect last week

DD2 is the key suspect for posting my waxing kit into the washing machine. I put a load on without knowing so christ only knows what is happening to the innards of my washing machine right now

jetforkesandbonfires · 02/11/2009 20:33

hells - i know Jac has a 2,3 and a 4 - cant remember which is DD and which is DS though - i think 4 yr old is DD??

jetforkesandbonfires · 02/11/2009 20:37

just had a nosey on FB - 2 girls and a boy. Youngest is DD, then i am guessing that DS is 3 and DD is 4 - and they are all gorgeous

wastingaway · 02/11/2009 20:40

Well done Sazz!

Hello Alyson.

I must have missed the new job Shiney, looking forward to it?

I have got loads of points left, and the chocolate I have isn't on the WW points tracker, anyone know how I work out how much I can eat?

hellsbelles · 02/11/2009 20:56

thanks Jet - not quite a match here unfortunately....

SazZ - omg! cheeky DD2

Iggi999 · 02/11/2009 21:08

Evening healthy folk
Love the idea of you needing a police check Shiney - funny if they turned you down!
My chocolate is still in the freezer. Going to defrost a bar and give to a workmate who's a bit down, so it'll make him happy and me less fat.[givingawaychocolateyoumustbemad emoticon]

jetforkesandbonfires · 02/11/2009 21:10

oh dear Sazz, i am guessing that that will be one sticky washing machine then

i am saying good night early tonight, as mini had me up most of last night, and i am shattered! Have fun

jaquelinehydeTheBonfireToffee · 02/11/2009 21:29

Oh God I'm such a child, I just made DP put fake boobies on

I've been having a scavinge to see what odds and sods I have to make pretty wrapping for my peppermint creams (not that I have made them yet) and found some manky old tissue paper and managed to make fake boobs.

Well it amused me

DreamsInPyrotechnics · 02/11/2009 21:34

Ha ha, love it Jac

jaquelinehydeTheBonfireToffee · 02/11/2009 21:35

Oh and can't stick around tonight as I'm supposed to be playing treasure mania reading my English Lit books

Hells thank-you for thinking of me, it's very kind of you. Jet is right with the detective work though DD1(4) DS(3 although he is 4 this month), and DD2(2).

If you see me here again tonight please shout at me.

Iggi999 · 02/11/2009 21:41

Jac have you posted your peppermint recipe anywhere? New to this whole cooking lark but quite fancy having a go.

Thanks for all your hellos. I must admit, being ill has prevented me from reaching for the two bars of cadbury's in the cupboard, but I dont recommend shingles as a dietary method, the pain isnt much fun. Ive got a new pup and hope to get out to walk him in the park soon.

Dont know about you lot, but any weight I lose I usually put back on and more besides. My biggest weight loss was about 6 years ago on Atkins, obviously I put it all back on, but it took a while. It doesnt do much for your health either, I blame Atkins for my gallstones. No Im not a hypochondriac, I just get everything rather than imagining Ive got something.

SqueezyFawkingBonfire · 02/11/2009 22:40

Tell us about the pup Alyson

Just had a long convo with step mum about different stuff regards my dad. Och, it's such a long story.....families.....sometimes I wonder why I even bother If I bother, it's not even noticed and if I don't bother, it's noticed. Just can't win.
