...Come and be a Venus In Fake Furs (with a nod to any vegetarians, who may enjoy the odd Quorn fillet...)on our healthy eating thread, and watch yourself vanish before your very eyes, if that is your aim!

We are supporting each other to lose weight, or just eat well and get fit- but we do like a bit of a laugh along the way, so if you are interested in joining Shiney and the other regulars here and be in the gang, just drop in and post as much as you can- the thread moves fast!

All welcome- the only quiches round here are the contraband in my fridge

Evening ladies

Virtual chocolate to you all (as i am in a sharing mood )

Party last night was ok. DH forgot to mention it was fancy dress, so we were the only people not to dress up, to make matters worse, DH was wearing work clothes (clean) I was driving so sober (and possibly pg, so don't want to drink too much) and DD came with us so left at 9pm. He complains that he doesn't get on with anyone at work, but then when the chance of socialising with them comes along he doesn't put the effort in. No wonder we are such social retards

Anyway, we have spent most of the day clearing out the understairs cupboard/Narnia so think i deserve the roast dinner and G&T

Oh, and weighed myself this morning and am 9st12

VinegarTits · 01/11/2009 17:38

Had a mahoosive row with ds1, so very peed off right now, might need to console myself with wine and chocolate

jaquelinehyde · 01/11/2009 17:46

BIWI -- oops

Alice -- Sounds like a bit of a failure of a social outing. Nevermind, at least you didn't dress up only to find no one else did! Are you happy or sad at your weight, sorry I didn't know what weight you were before today

Vinny -- what was the row over, is all ok?

How rubbish not to have noticed that it was fancy dress. I love dressing up.

Good luck with the possibly pregnantness.

It was awful, Shiney. And they ended up out of their wrappers as well.

TrillianSlasher · 01/11/2009 17:55

No idea what to have for dinner. Bored of everything. Risotto maybe. I like risotto. DP says 'we can have a takeaway if you like' - very naughty of him, because yes, I do like.

SpookyAlice · 01/11/2009 18:10

What takeaway will you have Trills? We had dirty KFC for dinner last night but having roast pork for dinner tonight.

Going to try to drink more water this week as my skin has gone all dry, so if you see me on here, shout at me to drink some water!

TrillianSlasher · 01/11/2009 18:11

Don't say it like that Alice, you make it sound inevitable...

Chinese if we do. I like curry but the only nice curry place is too far away and doesn't deliver. I haven't actually tried all the nearby curry places but not convinced they will be nice enough.

vastingavay · 01/11/2009 18:14

As long as you didn't take your eye out with a green triangle, BIWI!

SpookyAlice · 01/11/2009 18:22

Because we don't have takeaway very often now, i want it to be perfect, so i know what you mean. I feel that if i am going to be spending our (well, Dh's) hard earned cash then it had better be better or at least as good as what i can cook iyswim? What will you watch whilst eating possible takeaway?

VinegarTits · 01/11/2009 18:24

There is a guy on my FB (RL one not vinnytits one) i dont even know him or how he got on my friends list, but everytime i log on he sends me a message 'hi vinny how are you ,hun?' i never reply but he doesnt seem to take the hint

I should just delete him shouldn't i?

DreamsInBinary · 01/11/2009 18:25

Eek! How exciting Alice

Shiney, it's dh's birthday on 19th as well. No idea what to get him, so if you come up with any man-presents, Trillian, let me know.

The shopping arrived at 17.10

VinegarTits · 01/11/2009 18:25

I might have a FB cull like shiney did

SqueezyCheesyPumpkin · 01/11/2009 18:28

Wow, there's a lot of birthdays in November huh!

VinegarTits · 01/11/2009 18:30

Oh dear, just put a message out on FB saying i am having a cull, the guy who keeps messaging me gave it a thumbs up, little does he know.....

bellavita · 01/11/2009 18:34

at BIWI's chocs

Oh Vinny, do you have rows often? Talking about fb culls, I had one a while back and when I replied to something on someones wall - someone came on (friends of other person) and asked me outright why I had deleted them twas nothing personal....

Oh a Shiney birtyday, how lovely.

Am glad your shopping turned up DIB.

Spooky, we don't have take aways often - partly because the boys want to be part of it too and they eat full portions - so it is normally a £40 quid job.

SqueezyCheesyPumpkin · 01/11/2009 18:34

PMSL Vinny

bellavita · 01/11/2009 18:35

birtyday birthday

oh and not only has the iron packed up today when DH was doing it, the bloody washing machine seems to be on the blink

VinegarTits · 01/11/2009 18:37

I dont have rows very often with ds1, but we sometimes clash, he's gone to bed, i am annoyed because he was shouting in front of ds2

DreamsInBinary · 01/11/2009 18:39

Hi Bella

We went to Pizza Express yesterday before the ballet and I had the Vitabella pizza, and thought of you. Twas delicious

bellavita · 01/11/2009 18:39

No that ain't nice in front of the little one.

Btw - you are far more polite than me - I didn't put a message up to say I was going to have a cull, just did it.

bellavita · 01/11/2009 18:40

Glad you enjoyed it DIB!

DreamsInBinary · 01/11/2009 18:41

Bella, your fb profile is so locked down that even if I type your full name into my search, it doesn't show you.

Unless it's just me...
