Fairly mild reaction to kiwi this morning, do I need to do anything or just avoid?

I've always been a bit sensitive to fruits, apples make my lips swell a little and raw tomatoes make my mouth sore. I've always just ignored it. This morning I had a kiwi and straight afterwards my throat felt a bit swollen and was tickly and itchy. It lingered for a few hours but has gone now. Just wondered if I should do anything about it or just avoid kiwi fruit. I don't normally worry but as it was in my throat I am unsure. TIA

You need to know for sure if you are allergic to this fruit. If it is an added ingred in something it could cause a nasty reaction

You should go to yr doc and ask for a skin prick test.

Don't touch the fruit again or anything with it as an added ingredient

I used to have the same prob with strawberries. My allergy to them lessened after I fell preg with DS1

Kiwis are known to be highly allergenic. They make my ears tingle.

Yes, I just googled and saw that ledodgy. Also said it was linked to latex allergies and I do react to latex although rast test was negative.
