conjunctivitis - i think

my eye is itchy so i thought straight away 'Conjunctivitis'. i was given prescritopn of Chloramphenicol eye ointment ystrdy, now ive just noticed that ive got a white spot on the inner eye rim (where you put eye liner on top). what is that?

sound like a sty. try bathing the area with hand hot salt water.

how do you get sty?

My DP gets stys (sties??) all the time - sometimes they look like a white spot, other times his lid swells up, is red and painful. GP told him to hold a very warm flannel against his eyes for a few mins, then drag it downwards to remove any impurities and stuff. he should do it every night, but actually does it once a week I guess. has been successful so far....
