I'm going to start exercising again this week. 53 and a bit overweight, on HRT. I don't have normal stress incontinence - OK I wouldn't do star jumps on a trampoline but I can run in circles at the gym, do star jumps and jump up and down without trouble. There is however a big problem with proper running, and I don't know why.
I joined a womens running group a couple of years ago and discovered that when I run with them - and it wasn't that fast or anything- I have a reallly quite serious problem - the first time I went I was just drenched, so I bought some pads to feel safe and they were wet through every time. I really enjoyed the running, and was doing about 4 miles around hilly Cotswold streets which was great, but I felt so embarassed about the problem that I gave it up.
I'd like to give it another go - does anyone else have the same problem? I'd happily do more pelvic floor exercises but as this is so extreme and it is the only situation it happens in I really wonder if that would work.
