will vaccination be needed?

I'm 90% sure my ds had swine flu a fortnight ago ( 39 temp, sore throat, cough and vomitting, plus v tired)

Does that mean he doens't need the vaccination/ it won't do anything? He's only 3 but will be in a priority group due to his asthma and recommendation by consultant.

Unless he was swabbed at your practice then I am not sure you can be sure it was swine flu. In that case and given his priority group status it would be better to get him vaccinated IMO.

Agreed. Positive predictive value of a clinical diagnosis is still a bit low at the moment.
