For anyone with sinus/catarrh problems - Cranial Osteopathy

For the last few days I have had a head like concrete from 6pm onwards. I suffer badly from catarrh and haven't even been able to eat in the evenings, because if my mouth is full then I have no means of breathing!

One visit to my cranial osteopath today and bingo, I can breathe gain. Just wanted to post incase anyone else has sinus or catarrh problems.

ooh - I'm quite excited now - I have an appointment in December after years of chronic sinusitis - really hops I get a good result too!

what do they do? i had op last year but don't think it's cured it totally

Well ... I had it done a few years ago after a miscarriage when one bad virus meant that I was bunged up for months. I was so much better after seeing the osteo.

Interestingly I had another pregnancy loss a few weeks ago, so I don't know if this is a link. It sounds very 'airy and fairy' but is about movement of energy around your body. Apparently my energy was sluggish around my pelvis (due to pregnancy loss)and they get it running smoothly by gently touching your head and putting hands under your back etc.

Each time I have it, I lie for half an hour thinking 'I can't believe I'm wasting £46 on this' as it feels as though they can't possibly be doing anything constructive.

We used it successfully for my DC1's colic, DC2's sleeplessness after chicken pox and later for nasal congestion problems, DH had years of headaches after a blow to the head, DC3 just had a check after birth but didn't need anything else.

If it were me I'd bring the appointment forward from December bubble2bubble as you usually need a few sessions (though I was very much improved after just one session yesterday).

oh I know - I wish it was sooner but this woman has something like a 9 week waiting list ( both DDs see her as well). I have 3 or 4 appointments booked at weekly intervals after the first one. It is very weird stuff - as you say, impossible to understand what is going on, but the difference to DD1 in particular has been dramatic
