Incisional hernia

Who knows about incisional hernias on the caesarian scar? I have one and it burns every time I have a period.

The Gp has referred me to the surgical dept at the local hospital but beyond that I don't know what to expect. can anyone tell me anything??

Is it that rare? I thought it was a common problem for women who had babies by c-section?
Maybe I am more unlucky than I realised!

If anyone out there sees this and knows anything about it, can they tell me about the operation and recovery times or even what to do to avoid making it any worse?
