Pelvic and lower back pain.

I have an ache in my pelvis and lower back with sharper pains over my ovaries that come and go. Dr has ruled out infection. My periods are heavier and lasting for 2 weeks and I am anemic. Dr has referred me for a scan. Any ideas Ladies, panicking a little here!

Anyone? Could do with hearing about personal experiences here.

have you had scans for a cyst on your ovaries?

Have just been referred. Could that be a likely cause?

fibroids? I hear they cause lower back pain.

Has anyone talked to you about endometriosis?
Sounds like a possibility. look here.
You should raise it with the gynaecologist as a possibility even if they don't mention it to you, as it often goes undiagnosed.

lisasimpson TBH i have three fairly big fibroids and they have only ever caused me pain during sex.

Vraiser cud be right...endometriosis can be very painful and cause alot of irregular bledding

No ones talked about anything . Just said more tests, and I'm left on a waiting list worrying. Thanks ladies. The info there is great Vigilant.
