Sty on my eye

I've got a sty (?sp) on my eye. It's so sore.
Anyone have any tips to ease the discomfort/help it to go?
I have tried the old wives' tale of rubbing my gold wedding ring on it - not sure I believe it will work though.

gold does work .. it does .. dunno why

Failing the wedding ring solution, try the homeopathic rememdy Pulsatilla. Works a treat, or at least it did for me.

As soon as I feel the discomfort of a stye coming I rub it with my Grandmas gold ring she gave me (I do it every couple of hours) and it never develops into a large stye.
I think you have to catch it early though for this to work.

Homeopathy works for DP....pulsatilla...get in boots and try to take the minute you feel one coming and it stops it developing.
