My six mth ds has ridges on his nails - I think this may be a deficiency of some sort although he eats very well and has a good varied diet. Has anyone else had experinence of this?

I think there are a lot of wives tales about why ridges appear on fingernails. The best, and most credible explanation to my mind, is that they appear after a small blow to the fingers nails; they are a sign of minor damage having been repaired. I bet EP7's baby flails his arms out as much as any baby, hitting all sorts of things in the process.
