Help! Tangles in green hair

Help! After 2 weeks on holiday my daughters lovely blonde hair now has green streaks and the top layer looks like a dead rat it is so tangled. I have excellent brush but all the conditioner in the world does not seem to help loosen the tangles. She doesn't want to cut it, and I can scoop up the top layer and tie it into some sort of knot, but please can anyone recommend a brilliant detangler spary-in conditioner? Thanks

Mayonaisse is the answer. Our DD used to swim everyday and she aquired a gorgeous green tinge to her horridly fine and tangly hair. For just the colour, tomato sauce is great, for the conditioning aspects Helmans is the way to go. I think it's to do with the vinegar but not really sure.
