Is Anyone In UK still taking HAYFEVER tablets?

I was put on antihistamines in mid summer for what was assumed to be a hayfever related cough (mainly nightime)

Just wondered if hayfever is still the cause of the cough...as i'm still coughing!!!!

Met a friend at school drop-off in the pouring rain this morning. She was grumpy because her hayfever was even worse today - she had risked not taking her antihistamines because it was raining!

I have found the tablets seem to work...but wondered when i should stop taking them...so will stop at end of this packet (1st week of oct)

Doctor told me to take mine untill the end of october because i was still really bad in september/october..
So now im on them feb/march untill october

It depends which pollens you react most to.

So yes, you could find you need to go right through to October.

Apparently, mould spores are particularly high at the moment.

Ah, is that an autumn thing? I think tree pollens trouble me early in the season, but then it eases off until about September... and nothing in the calendar seems to explain why this happens.

Not that knowing actually helps much. Can't really avoid trees, grass, plants and wherever the mould spores come from.

Yes I am. Have had to change from ceterazine to loratadine because I think I developed tolerance to the former. I'l; be on 'em will Christmas and starting again in Feb no doubt, having had about 17 colds in the interim...

is it hayfever,or is it bed bugs. My son only suffered at night when he laid down. Not that we have dirty beds..everyone has bed bugs. i covered the mattress and pillows with the special covers and it worked for both of us.
I find it really affects me when i go holiday to a hotel,where the mattresses are obviously not replaced frquently.
Also run a steam iron over the mattres,cover with a sheet first and this will kill alot of them.
anything is worth a try...it feels like you have a bag of feathers in your throat at times

yeah OMG i did mean dust mites...we definitely havent got bed bugs...as they bite. Thankyou for making me feel clean again...dont know why i was thinking of bed bugs.Yes its dust mites that we bought the covers for and they worked a treat. John lewis sell some really good ones

i am still taking the loratadine and have been particiularly snot ridden with it this last week - first thing on a morning seems to be my thing.

I've run out and have been really suffering today. Cannot wait till tomorrow to buy some more
