Early symptoms of a urine infection, anything i can do??

I think i have a wee infection coming..just been for two the loo and am recongnising some of the symptoms that i have had before!!

Really don't want to be paying bank holiday doctor fees if i can help it..is there anything i get do at home/get from the chemist that might stop this getting any worse?

Drink lots and lots and lots and go tot eh toilet frequently. If you keep your bladder empty and flush it out it won't establish.

Cranberry juice, and lots of water.
