Poor ds always seems to get conjunctivitis

Whenever ds (nearly 9 months) has a cold he also gets gummy eyes. I wipe gently with cottonwool and cool, boiled water and occasionally squirt bm in, and that always clears it up. But is it usual to get it whenever he has a cold? Or should I check with GP? Thanks for any help. Dinny

My ds is susceptible to conjunctivitis too, but his eyes are usually weepy and swollen too, so I have to get drops for him. If it clears up on it's own I wouldn't bother going to the doctor, unless you're really concerned about it. What is bm by the way?

bm = breast milk. amazing for clearing up conjunctivitis. mw told me to do it when ds had his first cold at 3 weeks old.
thanks, btw, Otto.
