contraception advice!

Hi,
The doctor has suggested a 3 monthly injection for contraception, has anyone had this? Any side effects am desperately trying to avoid weight gain as have a tendency to put on weight quick quickly!

avoid the depo (injection) if you have any worries about gaining weight!! I put on tons of weight and had constant bleeding. I would not have it again. There are a few threads about the depo on here so have a search.
