Contraception implant query

Had implant when dd was 6 weeks, this was nearly 2 years ago. Implant is a 3 year device in arm.

I vaguley remember [was very sleep deprived and being stabbed at the time] Doc saying if I was still over weight it wouldn;t last the full 3 years.

Am I remembering correctly? Not lost as much baby weight as I'd hoped. Am quite a chumksome mummy and am not planning any more babas for a while.

I would phone a family planning clinic in your place, they should give you good advice. I don't remember hearing that advice when I had my implant, but I am not overweight.
