I printed out this letter from TheBigOptOut site and sent to GP. Got a letter back from practice manager saying they'd done what I asked. GP's are pleased when patients send the letters in because they don't agree with what's happening either. I'm a health visitor have seen how many non health care professionals - temporary clerks, receptionists administrators, non clinical managers - have access to the full record. They're supposed to have restricted access but this doesn't seem to be happening.

I think mine's already on there after moving about so much, can I ask for it to be taken off now we're settled?

Am not an expert. I think you can ask for it to be taken off. I think it applies to children too.

Just think it's awful the way they make it so difficult.

Also KEA I think you have to be proactive.. they may not necessarily ask you, your details may be added automatically unless you opt out.

oh by the way i changed my name

I'm going up the parents to use the computer and do one for the whole family.
