Ovulation pain - need help!

Hi! I have suffered from ovulation pain since my late teens and can't seem to find any cure other than being on the pill. I have seen specialists and had scans and nothing sinister has been found. No pain killers seem to work and i have basically been told to get a hot water bottle and put up with it - not easy with three small children to look after! I am currently on the pill, which does work, but I would really prefer not to be. Does anyone else suffer from this and what advice can you give me? Would be so grateful for any help at all.
