When you are not having an attack, you feel completely normal!

IME, asthma, during an attack, feels like someone had bound your chest very tightly with huge elastic bands, and you have to fight to pull in air, so each breath is short and shallow. And sounds screechy and wheezey. Sore muscles in the back also seems normal the next day, pulled from all the effort to breathe. Never had a gravelly voice or a tight throat, its all lower down than that.

If you are worried, ask your doctor to do a peak flow measurement, to check your lung capacity.

Hope this helps, and you feel better soon
