When can I go out again?

Was diagnosed SF and given Relenza a week ago. Feeling much better now, although still have the odd cough to clear my throat etc.

Can I take DS (who I also think had SF, but whose symptoms were calpol-controlled and went within 3 days) to a toddler group this morning? He really needs to get out!

It's been 7 days - are we still contagious?

I think its 7 days or whenever your symptoms are gone - whichever is longer.

I personally wouldn't go to toddlers with a lingering SF cough mainly because of the high probablity of preg women being there. I would probably take him to the park/walk etc though.

they say 'when symptoms disappear' but i think they are just guessing!

If he's only had the symptoms for 3 days then he could still be contagious. Also, if you still have a cough you may be too. Better to stay away as you never know who might be really vulnerable there.
