9mth old with broken leg - tips to keep cast dry and clean?

Hi,

I have a 9 month old who will have to wear a cast on her leg for the next 6 weeks.

Eager to hear tips on how to keep it clean and dry.

I put a skiing sock on it when she is eating but she loves to smear food in her hair, etc so I would like to be able to risk a shower every couple of days.

When i broke my leg i was told of a company that makes covers for them so you can shower. Other than that i would say lots of plastic bags wrapped around and around.
