Fibroids

What are they? Are they dangerous? What causes them? Can you get rid of them? How quickly do they grow?

Doctor says "nothing to worry about" - but of course, they hurt, so I worry

Any advice gladly received

um, not sure if this is v helpful, but my mum had them around the time she had me and my sis. in her case they led to v v painful, heavy periods and anaemia. she had ops to remove them a couple of times.

she found it v stressful, esp as her (female) GP wasn't v helpful - wd just witter on about the cost of sanitary towels instead of doing anything to help.

what does your doctor suggest for the pain?
