sugar puff urine!

I am sure this has been on here before but wondered if anyone knew why my urine might smell of sugar puffs! I do sometimes eat them but I still get the smell occasionally when I haven't!

I tried googling but you know where that leads!

I don't know but I do know that the same happens after I eat asparagus!

Happens every month for me - just after ovulation - something to do with hormones and sense of smell I think

Pmsl I thought i was the only one!!!

Now i can tell dh im not just 'wierd' there are others out there that do the sugar puff wee.

OMG I have this sometimes too.. hahaha

well if it smells sweet it may contain sugar so perhaps you should get tested for diabetes?

Sweet smelling urine is a sign of diabetes. Do you have excessive thirst and pass urine often.

Get checked out. A lot of chemists can do a simple test now to measure glucose levels.

I call it cereal wee -

I get this sometimes, but def. don't have diabetes. The sweet smell that you're referring to smells more like fruit - nothing like sugar puffs. I'd love to know what the sugar puff smell is!

I've had it three times - and found out I was pregnant shortly after, in fact the third time it was the sugar puff wee that made me go and do a test.

No no no - while sweet smelling urine in general may be a sign of diabetes, if you only have it after eating sugar puffs then don't worry.

Sugar puffs make your pee smell like Sugar puffs. I don't know why but they do.

Just googled this - got mostly other forums with people pondering the same thing! Some suggested diabetes, others say it's a sign of too much sugar in your diet (highly poss. in my case ), dehydration or you've just drunk coffee.

Shall we email Big Bear Ltd and ask them?! I bet it's not the first time they've been asked..

my mum asked her docs about this once and he said that she wasnt drinking enough water

I have no symptoms of diabetes so don't expect it's that. Could be dehydration I guess. DD gets it sometimes too but she eats sugar puffs every day!

I would love to know the definitive answer!

I can smell 4 shots in my skinny latte after I've had one - are you SURE it's nothing to do with what you're eating?

In my wee, that is, otherwise M&S would have something to answer for.

I've always had this - its completely random and nothing to do with anything I eat. Not had it while pg though

I get it when I drink coffee. I think it's brown sugar?

My wee smelled of popcorn when I was pregnant - no diabetes

MY HAD SUGARPUFFS THIS MORNING AND THEY SMELLED & TASTED LIKE PISS!
