A mum at dd's school has died :(

I didn't know her very well as she has been so ill since dd started at school. I remember seeing her around and how ill she looked. She was only 34 but had been battling breast cancer for 7 years. Eventually it was terminal but I cannot get her 2 young children out of my mind The young girl (9) said to my friend that her mummy was going to a bed in the sky to make her better God, why is life so unfair?

At my children's old school, there were two boys who my childlren were friends with whose mother had died a couple of years ago. Somehow, it never leaves your mind, whenever you see them.

That's awful Blossomhill. My MIL died 18 months ago aged 48 from breat cancer , it is so very unfair, especially when young children are involved.

Aw how terribly sad. I don't know if it's because I'm getting older but so many tragic deaths seem to be happening to such young people recently.

I think it has freaked me out even more as I have a breast scan tomorrow.
I know that probably sounds so selfish mentioning that but I was so fine and after hearing that I am so, so scared now. It could happen to anyone

feels totally wrong to be posting on this thread as I am being very silly on another thread...but...I feel for you blossomhill as dd1's friends mum is in the final stages of breast cancer (basically it has spread everywhere,she is treating it alternatively but has no hope of survival). It is a horrible horrible thing.

Blossomhill, I hope it goes ok for you tomorrow. Really sad to hear, poor kids. My best mates mum died in an acident last week, so much tradegy in the world.

A girl I went to school with lost her mum to meningitis when she was 15 and her sister was 12. I remember our headmistress calling us in to tell us was had happened. It was awful - she was young and we all knew her - she was so involved with the school. The girl in question has really done very well though and I'm sure her mum would be proud now.

that's awful,a friend from school has just been diagnosed with a brain tumour and giving days to live,she has 5 year old beautiful twin girls and a baby boy
life is so cruel

very sad Blossomhill . Several years ago now a girl at school (yr3 when it happened)'s mum had a row with another mum at school and then went home - half an hour later she dropped dead of a heart attack!! Her dd (now yr 10)is doing well at school I believe but I always feel sad for her whenever I see her.
