Just had post mortem, and found out my dad had pneumonia after his bypass surgery.
My dad had problems with bronchitis and told doctor this before operation. We feel at the moment when he was discharged on day 5 -the necessary checks were not made to make sure he was healthy enough to go home as he was very ill after one day at home.
Just wondered how common this is. Has anyone else experienced this complication after heart surgery.
