mad4myboys · 06/07/2009 19:50

worley · 06/07/2009 19:51

yes down my legs and bum, my gp told me it was a lack of iron and to eat more red meat at the certain time of the month.
but i hardly ever eat red meat so never took him up on his advice

mad4myboys · 06/07/2009 19:52

slowreadingprogress · 06/07/2009 20:17

yup I get this, always have

Hassled · 06/07/2009 20:18

yes - my bits sort of throb sometimes and my upper thighs ache.

Dumbledoresgirl · 06/07/2009 20:18

Yes, I have had this occasionally - not all the time thank God. An intense sort of throbbing pain in the vulva. Awful. I want to hold my hand on it all the time but of course you can't walk around holding yourself like a 3 year old.

jellycat · 06/07/2009 20:19

Yes, a slightly bruised, swollen, tender feeling

lisasimpson · 06/07/2009 20:25

yes I had the pleasure of it today in fact! the pain in the thighs and the throbbing in the vulva.

dizzymare · 06/07/2009 20:25

Yes, and achy thighs

Chalkpink · 06/07/2009 20:25

Yes, yes yes, I get this.
I hypothesize that as I know I have a retroverted uterus (it tips backwards) it must be pressing/throbbing on certain nerves during my period and hence the low down pain around vulva/back passage and all down the back of my legs.
But I'm probably wrong

Will try increasing my iron intake though.

Woooozle100 · 06/07/2009 20:28

ooh I get this. And have been told I have a retroverted uterus (erm by a gynae. Obv!) So maybe there's something in yr theory chalkpink

nickytwotimes · 06/07/2009 20:28

I ahve this.
I am seriously about the iron thing. i'd like to know the basis for that crap statement from your GP.
My haemaglobin count is very high and I am vagetarian.

PurpleOne · 07/07/2009 02:12

i have retroverted uterus too...but my aching and pains only got worse after i got sterilised.

it starts from my belly, aorund my sides and down my legs. first day is fine....2nd day ill wake up with pains and aches and wanting to take paracetamol and sleep.
