hi since i had ds in sept i've had a lot of health anxiety. not all imagined, i have a node on my thyroid and am seeing a endichronologist mid month. i also have a rectocele and cystocele. when i noticed the lump on my neck i also had one under my arm. googling and imagining had me down with thyroid cancer/lymphoma etc. then the neck lump was scanned and was a node so ignored the one under my arm but it's bugging me now.

Its like an ingrown hair but i can't find the hair. there have been a couple of zit like things and I'm wondering if th area has got infected. I am at my docs around once a week and reluctant to turn up for nothing, especially with the baby. would you do a non emerg appt or is it nothing that i should ignore. not in agony feels just like a spot but not in a specific place, more around an area and a bit red. its been about a month

any advice appreciated. ps now got stiff neck too

i keep having recurrent stuff going on in my armpits.
doc says its a skin infection? kepp applying the cream and it still keeps coming back. feels like a massive spot under the skin and it burns?

it does feel like an ingrown hair...i think they are boils. the only thing that stops it for me, imvho, is to stop using deodrant for a couple of days.

yeah thought deo might be the issue but it's only on one side. so you went to the doc? might book a non emerg appt. just feel a bit silly going there for a spot...

Infected lymph nodes are very painful and do cause a stiff neck. What's more, untreated they don't get better! So do go to the docs for a non emergency treatment and in the meantime take ibuprofen to reduce the swelling. You may find a long soak (ha if you can find the time!) will help.

thanks, my neck has stopped being stiff now but i ache all over. do they giveyou a rash/spots?

No. Sounds like you have chickenpox. Is the rash only down one side? Could be shingles - I had it recently, it's not fun!

Go see the doc.
