I've no idea why, but it feels incredibly bruised, sore, walking like John Wayne like....

Period due?

Varicose veins?

girlandboy · 01/07/2009 22:52

Exciting bedroom action?

girlandboy · 01/07/2009 22:53

No lumps or bumps?

Buddleja · 01/07/2009 22:53

What on earth have you been up too Been swinging from the lampshades?

I actually have a giant bruise there and down thigh. Not nice

Claire2009 · 01/07/2009 22:53

None of that!

Period not due for another 1-2wks, although that can vary! Varicose veins, no idea, but this is the last 2 days.

Lots of shagging? A cycle ride? If nothing obvious it could be thrush- hot weather can trigger it.

Claire2009 · 01/07/2009 22:53

No lumps or bumps, just feels really sore, bruised.

Is it hot?

girlandboy · 01/07/2009 22:54

Enlarged Bartholin's gland? They can make you feel bruised.

Claire2009 · 01/07/2009 22:55

Haven't rode a bicycle in years!
No shagging since March i think , am single.
Thrush, have had that before, no discharge or anything but bruise like feeling though?

OP posts:
Claire2009 · 01/07/2009 22:56

Not hot. Bartholin's Gland, are they not more like a cyst? There's no lumps/bumps or anything, just feels tender.

Does the (ehem) area feel warm?

have you had a look?

girlandboy · 01/07/2009 22:58

Have you been a bit vigorous with the old ladygarden topiary? Ingrowing hair? Reaction to Veet?

You're going to have to have a look you know.

Claire2009 · 01/07/2009 22:58

Doesn't feel warm, feels normal, had a look and looks fine! No different than usual anyway!

OP posts:
Claire2009 · 01/07/2009 22:59

No ingrowing hair, don't use veet.

Right, well thrush can feel like this, especially if walking feels a bit uncomfortable. Sometimes it takes a day or two for the discharge to kick off. If you try some canestan cream in the morning and feel relief, that's your answer. Otherwise, GP for you milady!

LadyOfWaffle · 01/07/2009 23:04

I get this around period... think it gets dry. Or for a few days after sex.

LadyOfWaffle · 01/07/2009 23:05

Or general dryness - can you KY jelly it abit? I know the feeling you are on about... trying to think when I get it.

girlandboy · 01/07/2009 23:06

A gp will also check for varicose veins which ache and feel bruise like.

Claire2009 · 01/07/2009 23:25

Thanks, will give it a couple of days I think & if no better Gp. I'm not overly dry down there & all is normal bar the bruise like feeling.
