For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Flippin heck though..I am going to see the BANKSY exhibition and a replica of Gormley's Angel of the North is coming to a sculpture exhibition near my Mum and Dad's house..How much more inspiration can a girl ask for?

SuperBunny · 29/06/2009 03:17

How exciting, Mits

Have you been to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park? I went to college there.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 29/06/2009 03:20

Oh yes...my brother went to music college there..it was a haunt of mine for escaping while he was there..

I should have done sculpting instead of painting, it moves me tremendously...

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 29/06/2009 03:23

When I went up there, i used to get up at the crack of dawn to run around the lake...

DD2 will be fine TooT, she'll be exactly the same age as my dd was (she is 5 on Thursday), after initial teething probs she was fine. IMVHO teething probs were down to her friendship with a particular child rather than her age. She loves school now. She thinks she plays all day so we're preparing her for the fact that she might actually have to do some work in Y1. She hasn't got the hang of reading or writing yet, unlike many of her peers, but the school are relaxed about it and say she will pick it up in her own time. Lovely to have a school with that attitude.

I hope the insomniacs are feeling OK today

SB, I'm sure the nights on the floor will be worth it

at cake.

Nothing yet f&v wise

SuperBunny · 29/06/2009 14:22

What is green coffee?

TooTicky · 29/06/2009 14:48

Mits, you shall have cake AND pie. If we can find any...

Thanks TF. Dd2 is v confident and is used to the classroom as we used to go in and cook. But she is ickle.

TooTicky · 29/06/2009 14:50

Green coffee is...erm...unripe? They have kindly illustrated the ingredients on the tin and they look rather like green berries on a stalk.
It was quite an invigorating drink anyway.
I donot usually partake of any caffeine

TooTicky · 29/06/2009 14:52

Relaxed schools are priceless TF. The pressure put on early literacy is shocking.
