alcoholics advice needed

Probably in the wrong section - a close acquaintance of mine is an alcoholic its not recent and has been going on for years - rehab residential and non residential, AA etc, perforated ulcer, fits, medical detox etc so its quite seroius.

She has just detoxed again but within a couple of days smells of booze but is still going to AA etc and pretending to me and her DCs that she is still dry

So the first question is

Should i challenge her?

The most seroius question is do you think life with a chronic alcoholic can be good for chld or do you think authorities should intervene?

You are in a very difficult situation and my heart goes out to you and her children.
She is only deceiving herself
My suggestion is Al-anon
They are a support group for the relatives and friends of those with serious drinking problems and it sounds like you need good advice and support
