Swallowing/panic

hello does this happen to anyone else
I posted a few weeks ago with no response about having trouble swallowing at the dentists and it turning into a panic attack
well I had my last app. for the root canal today and it happened again.
I found I couldn't swallow properly and couldn't close my mouth to swallow properly and had to stop everything to try to swallow and then found that hard to do and consequently found I couldn't breathe then.
Am I going mad or does anyone else do this swallowing/panic thing and what can I do?

This does happen to me sometimes. Not at the dentist and I have never really paid it enough attention to work out when and why it happens.

Just that sometimes I suddenly find it hard to swallow and have to stop everything to swallow.

It does get quite panicky for a few moments but, as soon as I have managed to swallow, then I feel fine again.

Hopefully someone else will be along with more advice - sorry, I don't know what to say to make it better/stop it happening, but I will pay more attention next time it happens to me.

omg thankyou dysgu (or should I say diolch)
I thought I was the only freak and had to call the docs to see what was happening to me.
It's horrible isn't it. the feeling of not being able to get the throat to work properly and do the swallow. and thinking then that I can't breathe
Hope someoen does know what this is.
