Mucocele - do they go away eventually?

Hello,

Just got back from routine check-up at the dentist, and apparently the lump that I have on my lower lip is something called a mucocele, (don't know spelling - sorry!). She said that usually they'd get it removed, but as I have lots of health problems (bad lung disease, immune problems etc etc), it would be best to leave it in my case.

Will it go away eventually though? Or get bigger? No idea what to expect. It's been there about 2 months now - doesn't hurt but I bite it sometimes.

I had one of these last year , under my tongue - I burst it a few times (gross emoticon) but it kept coming back and then one day it just disappeared. Prob had it about 3-4 months in total.
